FE501 and FC501 front WP forks

I have a 95 FE and and 98 FC. They both have the WP front end but the FE has the upside-down version vs the standard version on the FC. What are the performance differences between the two types? (and which is better?) By the way, the front wheels are not interchangeable due to the different axle diameters.
Thanks!

Don’t know if it will work for you but switched spacers on my 2011 FE to a 2021 TE300 front wheel easy switch. Don’t know anything about the forks sorry

The conventional forks are more plush than the upside down forks. All my bikes except my Husky have been switched to conventional 50mm. They don't kick out like the upside down forks do.

Thanks but its not a spacer issue, its a diameter of the axle issue. The hub bearing IDs are different sized at 15 vs 17 mm. One wheel can move over with a pair of 15/17mm bushings but the other wheel is not adaptable.

Thanks!
So For Enduros you'd recommend the plush (standard) and for MX switch to the upside down?
