I need new Roller Bearings for the rockerarms for my 2003 FE400e. I was sent updated bearings which do not fit the rockerarms and there seems to be no supply of old style bearings in Australia. Apparently I can purchase the new style rockerarms to take the updated bearing by these are a few hundred dollars each.

My question is should I buy the new rockerarms with updated bearings, modify the old ones to suit the new bearing or wait for the old bearings?

Are the old style bearings available from a bearing company not associated with Husaberg?

Over to you guys.

The rockerarms were updated in 2003. Are you sure that you don't actually have an 02 model?

If you don't have the 03 rockerarms I would replace the entire rockerarm assemblies with the updated 03 version.

I don't think that another rocker update has occurred since 03.

The newer style should have a smaller shaft pin if I remember correctly with larger needles in the bearing. Is this the case with the new parts you have?

If you have the older style rockers, you can rebuild them with the rollers from the late model single cam husky motors, like from the 610's.

OR you can order them from New Zealand over here i tried to order the up dated rockers only to have the old versions arrive with the printed part numbers crossed out and the new numbers hand written in pen i sent them back and was repeatedly told that they were the latest rockers i know the latest rocker look like a dowle over a pin when looking at the rollers from the side and have a different diameter centre pin these rockers would have cost me $150 NZ about $135 AUS the rollers are $43 NZ(the old versions)

:D nugs,if you like i have the roller,can ship ups,or whatever.

39.00 each. thank you!

Thanks everyone. I have decided on replacing the original roller bearings with new ones and not replacing the rockerarms this time around. I nearly went with the news arm until the dealer told me yesterday they got some bearings in stock. Hopefully they are on the way in the mail today.

ciao,
