drz swap ! simple !
Thanks guys ! Really the only part I had to machine is the trigger for the pickup! Using the stock fe flywheel and stator but not using the ignition windings of the fe stator just the charging winding (witch don't seem to fail) . I'm using all the drz harness and cdi with coil and trigger pickup but I'm using one leg of the fe charging winding for the drz cdi to advance the timing (cdi just needs to see AC voltage increase with rpm) So far so good ! working great! Just need to refine things and work out a cover mod for flywheel! Later I may machine up a new flywheel and use a drz stator as well but it doesn't look like that's necessary ! I'll post some pics as soon as i figure out how to use a digital camera! haha!
