Fe400 only spark at high RPM. No spark on kick

Hi

I have a fe400 from 97 ish

I don’t have any spark on the kickstarter, but I can start it by pulling it. It needs to reach a certain rpm level before it starts, slow pulling won’t do the trick… I have changed stator already, but same problem with replacement stator… what else can be rpm dependent?

This a shot in the dark make sure ground/earth is 100% other thing maybe spark plug not tight enough make spark plug gap is a little tighter. Like 20 Thousands to 19 Thousands you may have to experiment. Clean up all connections. Hope this helps

you must set the ignition timing with a strobe. you must also set the carb for best idle and change thre PJ if you have to to get the pilot screw at 1.5 turns out.
