FE390 only fires up after fuel disconnection

I recently installed a fan kit for my 2011 FE390, bit of a pain now I have to drain radiator whenever I want to remove tank, but anyway...

Since then the bike dies after 30 seconds then will only turn over and not fire up at all. As soon as I disconnect the fuel line, then connect again she will fire up, then die soon after again. Until I disconnect the fuel and reconnect again and then same problem.

Any ideas? I really want to get this fixed because it seems like its one problem after another :(

Drain the rad? You're making life too hard. Just loosen the sub-frame bolts (x3) and move on with life.
Any chance the disconnect isn't working properly. It has to click when you push the ends back together (says the man with experience in such matters.)
Another idea, fuel pump power connected properly?
I'm having stalling issues with mine at the moment too. Same thing in that it dies after about that length of time each time I start it, but will run with joy if I give it throttle, those it hesitates and cafes out on me some times even when I do that. I've changed the fuel pump & in-tank fuel filter with no joy. Next up is to gap the valves and see if that is an issue.

Another overlooked but simple possibility is the fuel cap vent (Check valve might gum up)
easily checked - run the bike without the fuel cap on, if problem continues it ain't that.

Are you saying you can't undo radiator mount bolts and push the radiators out of the way still connected to the hoses?

See if have 50 to 58 psi I think in the line. Might be the pressure regulator? Or fuel filter/filters need to be checked/replaced. Just guessing

Thank you for the help

Cant take the middle subframe bolts off, they have stripped thread in tank, just spin in place, the both of them! They are really well tucked away too, so I think the only option is drill them out. Not too keen on that incase I damage the tank?

Ive been disconnecting and reconnecting the fuel line a lot, i think it is ok. I can also hear the pump turning on every ignition attempt

The vent is fine. I did try that but it seemed like an unhealthy amount of bending required to get the tank out :)

I have just replaced both the intank inline filter and fuel pump a couple weeks ago, and the symptoms are different this time around. I've been wanting to get a fuel pressure testing kit, its hard to get the right type without spending a lot of money! I think the easiest option is maybe a cheap kit then buy the fuel line clutch and connector(£30+ each!) to make the adaptor piece?

Today the bike seems to be running again, I'm wondering if maybe it was the tipover sensor. I thought I had it the right way around but maybe not :S Captain Excellent that could be your issue too?

I think it was the tipover sensor, went off the beaten path tonight for some 1st gear shenanigans and she didn't skip a beat.
