This website is much faster than calling KTM...so.... a few questions...
1. Can recalibrate the odometer for the FE to the FS 17" front wheel or do I have to buy a complete odometer? If I do recalibrate what are the numbers for 17"?
2. Is there a shorter kickstand available or do I have to order the FS side stand for the FE.
3. The magnet on the FE is a different a part# than on the FS and I put a 320mm rotor on it...do I use the part# on the stock FS on that rotor?
Thanks in advance....
Fritz

its 1785 or there abouts but just wrap a tape measure around your wheel and tyre and read it off in mm will give you the exact figures.

you can change it but i cant recall how at the moment ill go and read thru my manual, my speedos off the bike at the moment and has no power so cant figure it out that way.

i think when the speedo starts up it runs thru a display test then shows the current wheel circumfrance. try pressing and holding the '0' botton for 3 seconds when the wheel circ is displayed. if the figures then start flashing use the + / - keys to set it to the figure you need.

ps. glad to see you survived the alien / predator invasion. must have been terrible.

Hey Fritz,

With the bike stood up, set the wheel in a position where, for example, the valve is at the bottom of rotation and clearly mark this position on the ground. Otherwise mark the tyre and the ground next to it with some chalk. Then roll the bike forward with normal tyre pressures two rotations forwards and mark the ground. Measure the distance and divide by two that gives you your measure of wheel circumference.

If you're keeping the long suspenders, try the original side-stand, it might still just be OK. Otherwise and FS side stand is quite expensive to buy.

If you are using an OEM beringer supermoto caliper on your conversion with the beringer disk, a magnet can be glued into one of the disk carrier holes and it fits perfectly with the pickup too! Otherwise, just get yourself any reasonably powerful button magnet and find somewhere to epoxy it in!

Hope this helps,
Simon

Hi Fritz,

I went through this when I did mine the number you want for WS is 1790, I tried the wheel measuring thing but didn't work.
To get the WS symbol up on the display you need to disconnect the main battery and feed the speedo with the small button battery can't remember the size but it tells you when you unscrew the plastic retainer.
There is a three wire plug that feeds into the speedo one of the wires is black this needs disconnecting, now when you press the heads up button you will see the WS symbol appear in the top right hand corner after setting the 1790 WS replace the black wire and reconnect the main battery.

Regards

Sparks.
