yes it should be fine.
the 600 had a 38mm carb, the 650 had a 40mm carb.
The exhaust headers of one wont fit the head of the other. fit the 650 system.
your problem is always going to be electrics. masses of headaches with electrics. there are 18 wires (approx) from the black box alone!
