FE 570 fuel pressure

does anyone know what the fuel pressure should be when checked going to and from the pressure regulator? want to make sure its at least pumping the right pressure before I pull the whole thing apart again. I saw a post on here where someone said they thought it was 60psi, wondering if anyone could verify that?
 
The stock fuel pumps Always fail. They will operate fine until gas tank and fuel in the gas tank get hot then they lock up. Once cooled back down, will work again. Sorry not sure of psi.

What year 570? My 2010 pump failed in 2011. Apparently they had a run of bad pumps. I sent my local (100km away) dealer a pic of my pump and the part number. They sent me a new pump for free and it is still going to this day, problem free!

I have read so many posts regarding " boiling fuel" etc, etc. I ride my bike in pretty hot, dry conditions and have never experienced any such things. One time I thought it was boiling but soon realised it was just vibration shaking the fuel while it was running. My first pump behaved exactly as everyone has described but the pump I have now has not missed a beat, even on 40degC days!

Of course I have not answered your question, sorry about that ( I don't know the answer!).
 
I have my doubts about "boiling fuel," too. I have a clear fuel cap breather line on my bike, and I've seen liquid fuel percolating in that hose. What I think is going on is that the fuel in the tank gets warm enough due to the close proximity of the tank to the exhaust for it to increase the fuel's vapor pressure. Fuel vapors are driven by the increased pressure past the check valve in the fuel cap and into the breather line, and condense into liquid fuel again in the much cooler line. Now there's liquid fuel in the line and fuel vapors continue to bubble out. Looks like boiling fuel, but it's not.
 
On YouTube a guy has a pump going in water then put in hot water pump stops. Must be one of the bad ones.
 
Bingo, Rainerio! Factory fuel pumps don't like warm fuel very much. Maybe they overheat and fail because the fuel doesn't provide adequate cooling. Whatever the mechanism, factory fuel pumps WILL FAIL. I've covered the bottom of the tank with reflective material and wrapped the exhaust near/under the tank, so hopefully my 570 won't strand me ever again.
