I have just bought a Husaberg, i have prioe owned a 400 FE, 501 Force and a 550 FE.
This one was earlier owned by a Swedish VM driver, and the papers sais it is a FE 450 E from 2003. I was pretty sure the 450 came in 2004?? With Keihin and Kokusan??
Mine has got SEM, andwas born with the Dellorto but now has a Keihin 41 mm.

The "model" is clearly the "old" 2000-2003 and not the newer from 2004. It hits VERY hard on the gas, and i think it feels like more than a 450....

Anyone have an idea on what i bought? And can i get to be more smooth, not hitting so hard??

sounds like you have a 2003 470. it wasn't made as a FE just an FX and an FC so you have one of those.

I don´t think it´s a 470. Mine has 6 speed gearbox, lights, the "hi/low" switch and all the stuff like a FE. Also E-start, that( off course) dosn´t work..

it's an FC470e or FX 470e.

try listening.

do you have an 18" or 19" rear wheel?

It´s 18".
What is the difference between FC 470, FX 470 and FE 450?? And how can i tell which bike i have? The papers sais FE 450.

if you have an old engine up to '03 you have 3 screws in the ignition cover. '04 on has 4 screws in the ignition cover. up to the end of '03 they made an FS (supermoto)400and FE400. they then made the FC470e for MX and the FX470 for cross country. the difference is the rear wheel! the FX has the electrical harness for lights but they're not fitted. the MX has nothing and a 19" rear wheel.

the 450 came out as an '04 model. husabergs can be bought from roughly october of the year before...september even. so this month you can now get the '10s. ok?

There were a few 03 450e as you describe.
They were never a catalogue model, the one I sold had a very different combustion chamber design.

easy Taffy...you might just be wrong here mate.

they produced a few early production 450, that used the keihin carb and the SEM. As NSman said, there is one in Canada......

you really should have known

....but not over here! they pretended to make 450s but when you opened them they were 470s.

got them on the grid though hey fry!

i own a ducati 400ss. it says it's a 398 in the logbook but its really a 460. do you think they would really make a slow bike even slower?

Hi sixdays
if the bike was owned by a world enduro rider most likely you have a 450 taking to the engineers at husaberg they made 450 for the pro riders
