Hy guys...
Greetings from Portugal.
Just bought a FE 390, after several years of good services on my other bike: CRF 250X.
I´m completely in love with the husa, the fuel injection, hidraulic clutch, frame design, mass weight...really is becomming my second skin.
But...(there´s always a but)
I sense de handlebar too loose for me, espeacially on rocky tracks and sand.
what do you guys think about it, should i go for a steering damper? or just fine tune the front suspension?

Both. Get your suspension dialed in - and then add a damper.

When I first got my FE450 I installed the proper springs for my weight, but I found the front end extremely unstable in sand and loose gravel. It was scary. I played with the clickers and made some improvement, but still didn't feel safe. I then sent my suspension to Dale EO and he tuned it up really well for me. I then installed a Scotts steering damper. It is amazing how much better the bike handles now.

I own a 570 and have the Husaberg steering damper with the factory triple clamps. Bike is so stable now its excellent I cant stress enough how much of an improvement it made over an already fantastic bike.

The Scotts damper makes a huge different on rocks. Get the mounting kit directly from Scotts or from BRPmoto.com - I tried to use what KTM/husaberg were telling me would fit - but it didn't!

how much do you weight?

me 80kg, i think i´m in the factory specs interval

I am about 230 lbs with gear, so I needed stiffer springs.

I think it is important to get the suspension tuned first so the bike is stable. The steering damper then helps reduce fatigue. It may mask a stability problem, but it probably won't fit it.
