I just got my rear shock sprung and re-valved, and fitting it I noticed that the spring was very close, if not touching the exhaust is it the way it's supposed to be or should I be investigating further?

Also I noticed on the bottom of the reservoir there was a wear mark from the loom rubbing on it. The loom has minimal damage but I would rather prevent issues later on. Is this also common or should I again be looking into it a bit more?
Thanks in advance :)

Both the things you describe are common issues. I found the if I loosen every joint and mount in the exhaust system I cant get enough wriggle out of the system to clear the spring. IIRC the FMF system clears the spring.

As for the wiring, if you remove the battery box from the subframe and then remove the subframe and then reorganize the routing of the loom from the steering head to the battery box area you can again get enough wriggle to allow the loom to clear the shock resivoir.

All said and done ots alot of friggen about but its worth it.

Thanks for the info, looks like I have a some work for the weekend!!
