I have a FE 390. When I turn on the lights, either low beam or high beam, the bike cuts out.
Ive replaced the light/kill switch CEV with no effect. Removing the low/high bulb solves the problem. But now no lights.
Ideas?
Me thinking either:
1) Worn/shorted wires between lighting and kill circuits. I'll check for closed circuit between the light switch terminal and kill terminal on the ECU. OR
2) Stator not generating enough current and turning on the lights draws current from the fuel pump or injector circuits. How do I check the stator??
Many thanks in advance.
