Bad News:
The minimum order requirement for a production run of metering rods was raised by the manufacturer to that of 500 for which I am unwilling to invest.

Quasi Good News:
I have hand made ten complete kits and will continue to do small runs for those that are Interested.

I'm glad you decided to hand make a few kits for us :D .

Sent payment via Paypal.

Thanks,

Received the kit yesterday. Now thats some fast shipping. It will probably be a few weeks before I dive into the carb. Not having any experience with an FCR what is the best way to disable the accelerator pump?

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric,

You will need to remove the starter and its support bracket. For complete access you may have to remove the carb boots. I did and used a piece of safety wire to support the carb.

On my 04, I removed the plastic access cover on the right side of the carb, removed the float bowl, and then was able to disengage the pump rod from the plastic lever by removing the E-ring and washer holding the plastic lever in place, rotating the lever to a full down position and prying the lever partially off of the carb shaft, snapping the ball end of the rod out of the socket in the plastic lever. The rod then can be extracted out the bottom of the carb. Slide the plastic lever back on the carb and replace the washer and E-ring. The pump diaphram cover on the very bottom of the pump will give you access to the diaphram and the diaphram return spring. Don't mess with it! Leave the spring and diaphram in place.

I don't know what Dale included in the 'Limited Production Kit', so be sure to ask if you have any more questions.

Regards,

Joe
