i have the opportunity to buy a 37 mm FCR from a Yam 250. Would that make any sense on the 400? It's only 1 mm smaller then the dellorto 38 mm but probably a lot more responsive.

Hi Cypher,

I will try one soon. My 620 KTM (which is currently being overhauled) has a 39.
If it works, I will look for a 41 for my 620 and keep the 39 on the Husa.

i'd buy it!

i'd buy it cheap on the basis that nobody will want a 37mm carb blah! blah! blah!

then i'd bore it out to 42mm as per me in the doc or cookeye.

get a rough quote for the engineering work?

regards

Do you mean the 37 can be bored out to 39?
If so, are the castings the same?

I've just put the 39, which is set for the KTM, on the Husa and without having a clue about what jets are in, the difference is awesome. It starts cold with the e-start and the engine has soooo much more bite.

Does anyone know what to look out for by boring up the carb?
Just remove the jets and put it in a lathe and turn it out?
