Hello,
Just rebuilding my FC600 96 Engine due to the cam decompressor stop coming loose and and falling into bottom end.
This took a tooth of the primary drive gear and damaged clutch basket gear, fortuneatly no other damage. I have replaced all engine bearings and piston. crank seems all good and within specs. Is there any other things i should check on this engine. Been looking through this forum but find little info on the earlier none oil pump engines, although realise that some of the info for the newer engines still relates to my type. Where can i find a manual for this type engine? Any Help or advice welcomed. Thanks Jon

I can't upload the file because its too big, if you whant give me a mail.

Thanks Zaga, Very helpful. Cheers
Still want info of improvements or things to check. when rebuilding this type engine.

HI

I would say since you are rebuilding it, I would change the timming sprocket to a steel one, change the ADC to a +04 (for better start) and enlarge the tip of the chain tensioner (check owners docs). For the newer ADC it might have some work in the cam.
Also go to the owners docs and pay attention to the igniton timming.
I think these are important and simple things to check in your engine.
