I changed my oil in my bike for the first time since I had it, there were some small metal shavings in the metal/screen behind the drain plug, does this mean I have the big cam in my bike? if so should I be concerned and change to a diff cam, cam bearings, timing chain etc, in order to prevent future damage/failure? I have done some reading throughout the sight and dont fully understand where the shavings come from, I presume the cam bearings???

Could be anything, could be normal. Post a picture of the metal next time. The older bikes shed a lot of metal. That's why you should change your oil often and inspect your magnet, screen and filter.

Sure thing! Im almost due for another oil change and I will get some pics up probably Saturday sometime of the shavings! if there are anymore. How can I clean the oil filter btw changes..... I need to order some this will be the second change on this filter... I dont know how to properly clean it....

You don't clean the filter. Replace it every 20-25 hours ( every 4th or 5th oil change). You can take it a part and inspect it for metal particles.
