favourable magazine review!

The print is very very small in the linked url (especially for my over forty eyes). Luckily I get ADB (where the print is still very small) but had not opened it yet. Well I just finished the article and must say that it is extremely complimentary to Husaberg for a change. How does "they are the best steering four strokes we've ridden!" or "The Bergs trademark torque is stll thee in spades" or "beautifully balanced suspension" sound. Sounds like they really liked these bikes. I'm sure the Japanese manufactures will be mad as hell when they read this. Expect a few less YamaHondakawasuki ads for awhile. Maybe they can make up some of those lost advertising dollars back by running "For Sale" ads for all the other bikes that will be going up for sale soon.

One question though. What is a donk?

I have another question. What does "The Bergs trademark torque is stll thee in spades" mean? I can understand that they like the torque, but what does "is stll thee in spades" mean? If "stll" should be "still" (which it probably should) and "thee" be "there" it sounds a lot more understandable but "spades"??

look here jocke! (is that pronounced joker?) the english language can be just what you want it to be! it is continually re-inventing itself.

the original saying is "in buckets" but the aussie wasn't happy with that and he used spades instead. buckets and spades? go to the seaside for the day when you're aged 5 and that's what you're given!

Our planes have near misses,
( wouldn't that be a hit?)
Hot dogs have no dog in them.
(about everything else though.)
And either our speedboats or
our cars have the steering wheel
on the wrong side.

ahaaaaaa, thanx. The closest I got in my head was spades as in Ace of spades and that didn't work out for me, hehe. In Swedish One spade = En spade, Two spades = två spadar. Ace of spades = Spader ess.

My real name is Joakim (german - Jochen and spanish - Joaquin). In short it becomes Jocke. The closest I think for you to pronounce is the guy that sits on the horses back, jockey. But without the "d" sound in the beginning. I actually met a couple of americans in Spain a lot of years ago and they had such difficulty saying it right so we agreed on letting them call med Joke instead. Just removed the "c" :D

Most of the times I figure out what is said in a "english" text even if not all the little words of "journalistic freedom" gets through.

But hey, we're not here for a language lesson (even though I find it interesting to make this kind of comparison now and then):lol:
 
I guess that I can't carry on a conversation, read the magazine article and type all at the same time.

"Is still there in spades" would be correct.

The rain in spain falls mainly on the plain.
 
It was highly rewarding reading an article that positive about a bike you're planning on buying and got me really excited about it. I want an '05 and I'm waiting for them to come to my local dealer who has pretty darn good prices (Nevada Motorcycle Specialties). For instance, they have an '04 FE550e listed for $6500 (US dollars). Haven't seen prices much better than that! The test riders seemed to prefer the FE550e over all, but I'm getting a FE650e for dual sport use. Also, I weigh about 250 lbs all geared up so that's a consideration. One question though, didn't they use the wrap-around hand gaurds in '04 like what comes on the KTM bikes? For '05, they're using the same kind that come on the Honda XR650R and after owning one of those bikes, I can say that type of handguard pretty much sucks. They don't offer a whole lot of protection and break pretty easily if you drop the bike.
