Faulty Key Switch

My key switch is shot and I don't feel the need for one. Can i simply rewire to a toggle switch?

It looks to me like I need to connect the brown, orange and red/white to one pole and the red/black to the other pole.

Comments?
 
Hey Steve,
I actually already did this once (put the key back on to sell it). If you look at the wiring diagram you will be able to figure out which 2 wires to connect. If I remember correctly thats all you do. 2 wires get jumpered, 2 wires left alone. I'll try and find the link for ya.
