Did my first track day today on a short karting track, so lot's of corners lot's of braking. After about 10 min I lost all pressure in the brake lever, let the brakes cool down then I could ride for 10 min again and so on and so on.

Brake setup is the standard 2008 husaberg supermoto setup, radial pump, radial 4 piston caliper, motomaster disc.

What can I do to avoid this in the future?

bleed the brake to make sure there is no air in it and to make sure you've got fresh fluid then perhaps look at what fluid and pads you are using, are there any that would cope with the heat build up better?

other than that aint got enough time on the SM side of things to give specific advice.

Had a quick google search for pads for the FTE caliper but couldn't find any decent info, anyone know of a good source for FTE brake pads?

Regards Christof.

firstly, send all 4 pistons back, then i suggest that if you have a brand new set of pads you fit them in the caliper. you then fit the caliper to the disc but away from the fork lugs. then pump up the brake. now where are the caliper lugs compared to the fork lugs AXIALLY?

you'll find you need to shim the caliper correctly via washers or moving the wheel.

Not really following? The caliper is a radially mounted caliper, not possible the shim the caliper axially? Or am I misunderstanding as usual

yep!

it can only be in line with the disc in one position.
