regarding the first photo , if he was going down he would have his arm out to brace himself .

i think this fellow has one thing on his mind , 1st place or bust !!!

I was there looking at this guy in Barcelona. He is Albert Roca, a friend of mine during a photo session trying to reach the limits.
I could say he tried it some times, with several crashes but finally he could do it. He actually races in our "S1" local championship, he is not the quickest but one of the most spectacular.

So the rider Albert Roca did not crash in that photo?

Wow!

Of course, he crashed in that photo because nobody in this world could pull up the bike in that position. He tried to do it some times and finally -I think never in that critic angle- he was successfull.
You have to see that guy, he is amazing and famous here for his particular way of riding 8O
