ex-warren machine expires

just 8 hours after the ex-sam warren husaberg was bought off ebay it has expired in the new owner's hands at a track day. total ride time; '8 laps'.

i think from what hs been said the bottom end has fried and locked. it has the 82mm bottom end.

That doesn't suprise me ATALL. SR Offroad are horrendous. I seem to remember that happening to me.

I was cringing I as saw people bidding on that!

Poor bloke, hope he gets sorted.
 
that's interesting? the man said to me that it was put together by 'S' someone and i couldn't think who; thinking that it was someone more recent?

is that waht it said in the ebay sale? SR off-road tuned?

oh well, i wish him luck too! he's looking at £800+ i've recommended going straight to the 80mm bell crank and the 35mm b/e rod assembly, topped off with the modern dished piston - after he's had the linar done! sheesh!

I don't think it said SR Offroad in the advert, just had their name on the bike still. So could well be someone more recent. Either way I wouldn't touch anything that's gone through their hands in the past.

for those of us on the otherside of the circle...can someone tell me what you guys are talking about....I'm guessing a bad shop / Dealer..?
 
well sam warren is a top british and world round SM rider. ex SW bike goes for sale on ebay. niave buyer gets 9 laps out of it. and that's the story really. no way have the shop in question; "SR Off-Road" touched it since 2006 when they closed. but their work was somewhat iffy when they were about. i have spoken to steve at a couple of meetings and SR clearly ripped him off.

the bike still had the original decal set from SROR on the side.

so feelings run deep at his end...

Yeah, I won't say anymore on the matter as it's going off the point a little. That's all dead and buried now and I'm just enjoying my new berg so all is good. I just jope this guy isn't put off Husaberg as a result of this. I almost was, until I found out it wasn't acutally the bikes fault.

Anyway good luck with getting it sorted

Don't cringe.

For all you genuine people who are honestly interested in the ex-Warren moto, the bike has now been FULLY re-built this morning, run in, and dyno-ed.
The bike is once again FANTASTIC as it was when I first bought it.
Had no worries when I first bought it and absolutely no worries now, at all.
The bike was a bargain and the only cringe that I felt is that so many people missed out on a top bike.
Such a shame that when you contact a company confidentually for advice and parts, you don't expect it to be on the internet so soon: 10 minutes.
A record I think.
By the way, 79 bhp.
I'm impressed.
