For the guys that have ridden the MOAB, what suggestions do you have for us with regards to tires and other equipment? I have been told at least 1 KEG of beer, what else???

I think most would say, dont bother with new tires. You will more than likely shred the rear tire on this trip. I think I am going to give the M11 a try. Bolt on as much armor as you can find would be another suggestion.
Bring whatever spare parts you can.
Oh.....and bring beer (was that mentioned :D )

Parts: Throttle cable, clutch lever (cable, too), spare foot pegs, inner tubes (a way to put air in, too), air filter cleaning stuff.., JB Weld, oil, spare nuts and bolts, chain breaker, small length of replacement chain + masterlink (temporary is ok), zip ties, wire, a big roll of duct tape, beer, etc....

And in case you are unable to keep your bike going, more beer! Remember its Utah, the land of 3.2 beer...

Advisable to have a trail pack with tools, spark plug, master link, zip ties, tow strap, snake bite kit (for others, you'll never get bit), flat fix-it, space blanket (they fold up real small), wipes/T.P., and a small first aid kit....

By all means shake your shoes/boots out before putting them on (sleeping bag, too!). Read up on what to do if you get stung by a scorpion before going, in case it would happen to you or somebody else.

Oh, you asked about tires...: the terrain is mixed, but mostly sandy loam type trails with sandstone rocks, and trails...from one extreme to another...so a tough tire would be the best insurance to a fun ride.

Thanks for all the input fellas, It will be taken with a grain of salt, (JOKE)...

401 bridgestone front, 402 rear, around a 13/50 gearing, std jetting will work fine, moose hd tubes ,13psi ft and
rear, tire irons co2s hydration bag, snacks for bag, plug, beer, more aggressive riders may like a 201 front, spare air filter or something to clean yours with, spare master link, chainbreaker, air guage, flame
just a few things. ( jetting and gearing for o6 450)

Hey thanks Kedlec. Great information. Are you going to Moab? I am so excited. I just got my First Husaberg just before Christmas, kinda a gift to myself and I love it. Boss has made me a true beliver of the Hus. I am very much looking foward to meeting all of you int Moab and I hope I can ride well enough not to bore too much.
