Engine Year Identification 04-06

Hi all,
What is the system Husaberg now use to define engine production year by the engine no ?

Is it the same as the current KTM system where the first digit represents the year ie 4=2004, 6=2006 etc (or so I've been told)
Im 230 km from my closest dealer so "nipping down to tha shops"
to find out for myself is not possible

yep, checked the doc and it is a mine of information, but unfortunately this area wasnt covered- imagine if you were buying a complete engine sight unseen that was purported to be an 06 with the better crank, surely you would like to have peace of mind just by checking the engine no. that you werent in fact getting an 04 or 05 ?, Mix ups can occur.
BTW Aussie 03 models lack a lot of the details that are listed in the Doc,
will PM you the info.

i got ya! so what you're saying is that engine changes don't go with the years and you would like a list of engine mod changes and from which engine number it took place?
