I just received my engine oil ready to do its up and coming change out and realized it's 15w50 and not 10w will this be ok through out the summer months in my 03 650 ?

Not knowing much about your bike, but the first number is the viscosity when cold so one can assume it will be ok. A first lower number is more important when it is winter and cold.

Ditto to what Jon said,

Only difference is it will take longer to get down to a minimum acceptable viscosity. Summer should not be a worry in my mind as it will get down fast.

I always stick with the highest quality oil as it is the most important part of the machine other than the brake fluids lol,

As long as it is a quality oil I would think no worries.

it'll be fine for thew summer. just warm the bike thoroughly before setting off.
