Engine Noise ...

Here is my problem: last fall, I bought a 'basket case' 1997 FE501E and had the top end rebuilt (adjusters, bearings, rocker arms, chain, ...) because the chain was broken due to a bolt that cut it in pieces. The case was split to get rid of all the shavings, and the bike is running great.
Since the rebuild, I have put about 15 hours of riding on it, changed the oil, adjusted the valves once, and everything seems to be ok.
She is street legal: so recently, after sitting for 3+ months, I fired her up for a street ride, for the first time with an open-ear helmet: the mechanical noise level is really scaring me! I mean, she was starting right away, runs strong (or maintainance guy is still mad at me for the rubber on the company parking lot :) , but the rattling is way worse than the mechanical clutch of an old Ducati.
Is this "normal"? Or should I be worried? Any thoughts are highly appreciated!

These engines are noisey so if everything else is doing fine then I wouldn`t worry about it. Take care.

One of my buddies, a Duc owner who never saw or heard a
Berg before, asked me if it has a dry clutch too
I answered: of course not!
His comment: Hey man, your rattling single will blow immediately 8O
It didn't so far... 8)
