engine full of coolant

hello! im new in this forum, bought my first motorcycle, husaberg fs650 -02 for a week ago. Its kind of a project stage, many parts still unfastened. Today i started to fill radiator with red coolant and i was wondering that why it isnt filling. After i added 4litres of coolant i saw it leaking on the ground from the engine block. i opened the oil cap and all coolant ive added flew off from there. Now i have a wet engine and im very pissed. There must be a huge hole or something because i was filling the radiator pretty quickly and all went in the block like in 1minute. So what should i check first? do i need to dry my engine block? ty already for answers

edit: i think i found the problem. there was no coolant hole seal between transmission cover and block. Another question; is it regular o-ring or like ring seal without spring? and what should i do with my wet engine?

Start by pulling the clutch cover. There is an o-ring seal for the coolant to pass through into the water pump. Once the cover is off you can remove all the coolant. You will want to probably change your waterpump seals and bearing while the cover is off.
There are other possible issues, but that would be the easiest and most common. If the o-ring seal looks good, post us back for other options.

...............you're obviously following an idiot for a mechanic....and what else is going to go wrong now?

im scared of the moment when i start the engine.. how many things are wrong? find out that there is ´extra´ ring seal after waterpump bearing. seems that the bearing is wrong cause its too thin and seal fits between bearing and the clutch cover..

It's probably a good idea to change out the water pumps o-rings,seals and bearing. Replace the clutch cover gasket,o-ring seal and water pump gasket. I would get extra seals and gaskets as the water pump seals and o-rings are very easy to damage on the first try.

thanks for advice. i was looking the sparepart pictures and were thinking that how many seals does the water pump have? the one o-ring which i was missing and the small seal ring at the waterpump shaft and seal on the cover of waterpump. thats all? i had another seal in waterpump shaft at the oil side but it was wrong size and i didnt see it in sparepart manual. and which way does the shaft seal rings spring goes? to the coolant or oil side?

Sorry....fell asleep. Spring goes to the liquid side.

More questions :D

Today i got the waterpump bearing and it has somekind of seal with it. seal side to waterpump right? and do i fit it to clutch cover or to shaft? Can it be installed too "deep"? Old bearing was simply a bearing without seal..

I readed some forum posts about the seal and find out that there should be o-ring in the shaft? 340 040-01 O-ring 10x1,3?

Im so confused.. Can u guys tell me what seals comes to waterpump shaft and what order they are installed?

ty already, im hoping that i could ride with it this weekend :)

You mount the bearing in the side cover with the seal towards the water pump.
On the other side ("outside") you mount the smaller seal. (size 10x18x4)
Right now I can't remeber which way it's supposed to be mounted though.

After that it's time to carefully put the side cover back in place, be careful not to damage your newly replaced seals.

Don't forget the o-ring that seals between the engine block and the side cover...
Oh yes I've also tried to fill up the radiator without it, and I know that the engine can contain exactly 5 liters of fluid, 1 liter of oil and 4 liters of water...
