Hi everyone. I own a 2003 501 FE and yesterday, after 4h riding with no issues the engine died while climbing a hill. Felt a sudden loss of power like it had no gas. I had like 1/3 of the tank full, so it wasnt the problem. Then after trying kick starting and electric starting it (killing the bat in the process) I gave up and decided to push the bike uphill (good workout :cry and bump starting it on a higher sloped road on the other side. It did start but as soon as I pulled the clutch lever or let go of the throttle the engine died. While it was working I could rev the engine. So I ended pushing the bike home for 10km...
I charged the bat again during the night and still could not start the bike today.
Usually the bike starts fine using the kickstart from cold or hot, electric start just hot if I'm lucky.
Do you think the spark plug may be the problem here? I own the bike for 4 years and since I dont ride much it was never replaced.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
