Engine cases 01-02

Are engine cases size specific or are the bottom cases the same for all engines 470-650. I know they are stamped with their size but I'm wondering if 470 / 501/550 cases could be used on a 650 or vice versa..

no it doesn't work,

the 650 cases are 20mm taller

no worries

if its any use to you I have a 3D model of a 20mm headpacker i was going to make to turn a 550 into a 650

the cases had been annealed in a fire so were soft as butter... was going to have to heat treat them in a pottery kiln but a good set of 650 cases came up ...
