I would say that there might of been extra lubrication in mind here to get at the cam and valve train, the oil is thrown up the tube that lies above the cam chain sprocket and runs down the one over the valve train.
If it was just crank case pressure they were worried about why not put the vent at the front of the engine where it is less likely to pull oil up and into the air box.
Has any one started the engine without the pipe connected to the rocker lid?, I once did don't have to say what came out, but there was loads of it.

No kidding
I had a hose connected to the one over the cam gear and routed it to the handelbar and was going to run it without the breather filter in my garage to make sure it worked fine. Holy smoke the oil went everywhere. i would say it pushed it at least 12" up.
I have plugged off that one and now run a hose from the other one to a check valve. works like a charm

i've heard that to close the camchain vent you need an oil plug (the one magnetless) and it needs to be machined.
Do you know where it need to be machined?

PS hope "need to be machined" is right

exams done.
now is time for supermoto :D

i have the oil screw to close the engine breather. how do i remove the vent? (which tools?)

My guess is that they are screwed in using the two splines on the ID. You would have to make a tool out of a piece of round bar, machine two slots to suite, attach a handle, and you have it.
I am thinking that the vent should perhaps play an important part in the oiling of the cam and components and not sure if removing it is a good idea?

Cheers
