For the first time in 7 years, I woke up New Year's day as a non-Husaberg owner 8O I sold my trusty 470 to Pete (mrk3cobra).

I have thoroughly enjoyed my two bergs. They are unique and great machines. The best part of the ownership experience is the community that is found here in this group. It is unrivaled by any other marque.

I know that over the years I have learned and been aided by this site, and I sincerely hope that I have made a contribution as well.

Pete is a nice guy and has that "I want to be different" Husaberg gene. Pete, enjoy the bike and welcome to the family.

With my focus on MX and Husaberg's focus on SM and enduro, I don't see another berg in my future. But, if they ever make a downsized 250f with a slim tank and the legendary Husaberg handling.......

I will still check in from time to time.

Happy New year and God Bless!

Carl,

I feel as if I just lost a loved one  . I am sorry to hear that you decided to hang up your Husa-hat  . I do hope, for everyones sake, that you find the bike of your dreams in yellow and blue sometime in the near future. I think I speak for the community in saying that your knowledge and input has been priceless and your presence here in the forums will be greatly missed  I will look forward to your visits and hope to see you out on the trails  ! Happy riding and keep the rubber side down :thumb: !

Sincerely,

Carl,

I have not posted much in the past year and I too am recently 'berg widowed. I have always enjoyed your race reports and wish you the best of luck on any ride you choose. Let us know what you finally choose as your next bike.

buy yourself a new 2006 street legal Husqvarna TE510 or 450. Keep it in the family. Don't taint the blood! :)

Thanks for the kind words. I bought a YZ250F in July 04 and the Berg has only been out 2 or three times since. I would have just kept it, but the fork seals crapped out just sitting in the garage. I don't have time to work on bike I am not even riding, so I just had to let her go.

Carl.

You are definitaly one of the "knights at the round table"
(King Arthur would be in my "humble opinion" Mr. Dale Lineweaver)

I have enjoyed your posts since I started at this site in 1998.
You will be sorely missed,I can assure you.

Although I do not write much on this site anymore because Brutus Maximus works flawlessly I still take a peek every day.

I really hope that we all here will enjoy your "on line"company for the future.

Best
