Electronic speedo

On the electronic speedo(05 550)when you press and hold the "O" button (did this initially by accident trying to get to the set screen) you get a display that reads " CONT 127" this figure can be stepped up or down using the + or - buttons.This is probably a dumb question but does anyone know what this designates?The manual makes no mention of it.I don't know if it changes while riding or not as I haven't ridden it yet.How nsman can sell me a bike without explaining these types of things is a mystery to me

I "think" it has something to do with front wheel diameter.
Different wheel/tire sizes will throw off the odo and speedo.

I'm not sure which way to set it for larger or smaller tires though.

Sorry Fordster,

CONT 127,refers to the fact that if you are focused on that little bitty display with your thick glasses while riding that bad boy you will be going to CONTinue to ward 127 of the Valley Regional very soon.

That figure is available in another screen.It also shows up when you first turn it on.The factory default is "2205"This is the circumference of the stock front tire(distance the front tire travels in one complete revolution)measured in mm.

Yahoo,I can hardly wait.If I can get over being sickly enough I've got a 06 KTM 450EXC to meet this weekend.Do me a favour though;if the aforementioned happens-send me to HFX! :lol:

Hey Ford832

Cont on on your speedo is screen contrast.
and if you want to change wheel dia say for motard disconnect power supply to speedo then go into menu and WS will aper move to it then press + to change diameter.

Hi everyone,

The trip computer on my 06FE450e only displays SPEED/H mode. I have tried to activate the rest of the functions (tripmaster, speed, clock,etc...) by following the procedure specified in the manual (press the button O for 3 seconds and on) but the speedo doesn't display any function to be activated.

Does anyone has a suggestion on this?
