Hi everywhere in the world,

sorry about writing in german, but I was tempted to answer in
my native language.
The first problem of Husa98 about the Husaberg logo for his mobile phone was solved. It was easier to explain it in german.
In the other post, maichusa, a member from our neighbour country, the netherlands
has seen me on a motocross track a few days ago. I realized that I´m not that anonymous I was thinking before.
Maybe we see us aigain another day in Holland.
So thats it. I don´t think that anyone has missed anything interesting.
But, brakmaren, you are right, everyone should write in a language everyone can understand.
So, sorry about that.

Haut rein Jungs  ,

greetings

@maichusa: PS: Yesterday the race in Groesbeek was a disaster. Very embarassing. Technical failure in both races.
After riding very good in the last trainings, yesterday I had probs. The engine just stopped in the first heat after one lap, in the 2nd heat already in the starting gate. Like no spark. 5 minutes later the enginge fired again. Don´t know what the reason is for that.

Tech Problems

Hi, hribman.....
Your use of language ok by me. I don't speak the germanics, but I did run the posts through a couple of the web-based power translators; got three slightly different versions on three tries!!
RE your tech problems, if memory serves me correctly( it doesn't always  ) both ktm and Husaberg had problems with their Kokusan ignitions in the ISDT earlier this year (Brazil?), with the 'berg dry version getting hot enough to melt stator component or connections. A couple of our members have had similar problems, with solutions ranging from new stator to loose connections. You might be able to find answers in the "Electrical" forum archives.

Hi FC501east,

I was thinking about the temperature problem, too.
But it´s a bit strange that the ignition yesterday failed because of too much heat.
A few days ago, it was very hot here and I was riding a whole afternoon on a MX track without problems. Yesterday it wasn´t too warm, even a bit rainy.
Can it be that the stator got a damage after/while the last hot ride and now it doesn´t work reliable?
I´m going to have a look in the electrical archives.

Thanks

I ride a 2000 FE501E in the California Desert, which gets very hot at this time of the year. My original stator failed at 194 hours, the replacement stator failed 124 hours later. Both failures were noted while servicing the Berg a few hours after the ride. It seems as if mine are failing during cool down after a 2 1/2 to 3 hour hot, hard ride of around 90 to 100 miles.

I haven't ever had any rust or moisture in the stator area.

Both were 'open circuit' failures in the Primary Ignition circuit (RED/BLACK).

Hi, gang....
May be the temp cycling and resultant expansion/contraction is causing a mechanical failure in the stator, ie cold solder joints or loose crimps, if used, or chafed winding insulation. I worked as an electromechanical engineering aide at Sanders Assoc., building/troubleshooting sonobuoys for ASW work. Had a horrible time with heat and vibration-induced fatigue in unused buoys returned for rework/updates. Cracking solder joints, scuffed enamel/poly insulation on coil windings, little stuff that would disable the 'buoys.

Hi Joe,

thanks for your comment, but we´re talking about the kokusan ignition
which is a very new theme for me. I have no experiences with that, but
enough with the "old" SEM ignition.
So I have changed from SEM to Kokusan. -
But right now, I´m not sure if the kokusan really comes along with a lot of advantages.

greetings
