Hi,

I have a old 1993 Fe600 and i was thinking of getting a electric start to this, but i'm not even sure if its possible? Are there anyone out there that might have done this mod, or have any tips and tricks?

Thanks in advance!

impossible i'm afraid. the crankcases are part of the leccy start.

I have brand new sets of new 2000 crankcases here that you can have hydraulic clutch and leccy start with. but the expense might make your eyes water. your parts would go straight over BUT, you need to have all the leccy start stuff.

your crank is also wrong, the leccy start cranks have a gear bolted to the side and the gear fits over a nice shoulder that self-locates it. you then have the gears and sprague bearing itself as well as the fact that the balancer assembly always came with the leccy start as well.

I have a 2000 FE600 engine here complete. starter motor, carb, THE LOT. but i haven't even looked inside the engine. it has the later stator and flywheel which means you'd have to change from your red coil to the black one. it is your cheapest optiojn i reckon.

sh**, i just remembered that your frame won't take leccy start EITHER, they even had a different frame for the MX and the Elduro.

it's endless isn't it!
