electric start not working/ NOT CHARGING

I have an 05 fs 650c which i put lights on with a lighting wire from an 04 e model. the light is working fine but the brand new battery doesn't seem to charge. the electric start doesnt work.

did i do something wrong? why is the electric start not working anymore?

Did you fully charge your new battery before installation with a multi step charger to 13.5 volts?
