Electric start issue (with sound)

I’m having issues with the electric start. It doesn’t sound like it’s turning the engine at all when it is cold. I’ve used this start in a little warmer weather and it starts right up, no problems, very quickly.

Battery is on a trickle charger and is new-ish (beginning of the summer)

I’m hoping by providing a video with sound it can help someone diagnosis it.

Any leads?

Probably the Sprague Freewheel bearing (clutch) or the Torque Limiter. The wrong type of oil could cause the Sprague to slip. What type of oil did you use? You should use motorcycle specific for a wet clutch. Also a worn Autodecompression Device could exacerbate the issue by putting too much strain on the Sprague and Torque Limiter.

I had a mechanic do it when I got the bike inspected… so I don’t know the oil he used… I’m starting to think I should just drain the oil and put it in correctly.

Thanks for the lead. Hopefully it is fixed by adding the correct type and amount of oil.
