Taffy, whats up w/ bump & spin free on the elec. start on my 08'450 ?
I looked at your site for maybe a spring/kit kinda thing but didnt find anything.
The decompression is not hooked up on my bike if that makes any difference.
It kicks & fires right quick.

Thanks--Proflow

you need a 'SRK' or starter repair kit.

the decomp really has to work for long term happiness! we do a special auto decomp spring but your original weight will be fine. just put my spring on it.

much has been said about the gears slipping but this is the correct cure for it.

starter

Taffy,
I have a spare starter, would this correct my issue if its a good piece ?

no, not in my opinion. we recently had a bike here with everything done we could name and it just would not light up. it was a 650. put a beefy on it and it started straight away.

prob not. those starters rarely fail

tis true young Ned.

I have had but 1 in all this time despite all their strains past and beyond their call of duty. the brushes burn out and can be replaced BUT, the surface of the rotating part is so pheqed up that the performance never comes back, lumps of shyte are stuck to the surface, scorched black beyond redemption and it is a truly horrid site!

I wonder what the prince of Darkness (Lucas) would make of something as well made as the Mitsuba SM-14. He'd cry probably and complain that "there's no profit in reliability" or some such!

I can hear everyone asking...."who are Lucas?" ;);)
