I'm new to this forum as a writer since been only getting the info previously by reading. Now I ran into a problem due to changes in our local policies regarding the noice of motorcycles. Lately police have been quite active here in Finland to start a campaign against loud pipes. I think similar activities there's also in Germany so maybe someone would know about the topic. In Finland it's gone that far, that in some cases they take plates away if there isn't EC type-approval in your silencer / exhaust. Nice.
EC type-approval, which under EU rules should be in every after market part (http://europa.eu/legislation_summar...ehicles_technical_harmonisation/n26100_en.htm). This has been there for quite a long time, but the police hasn't been very interested about it, until know.
Does anyone know would there be an exhaust system that would have this approval (small "e" sign in the silencer is enough)?
Best match I found was the Sil Moto -system, but dunno for sure if it contains the approval: https://shop.daniele-moto.de/artikelliste.aspx?sd=1_89. Did sent a message there if it has the approval or not. My present setup consist of 2005 Husaberg FS650 with modified cylinder head, KTM 610 sms camshaft and SR-Racing dual exhaust. It's frikin loud
