could we have an ebay 'what's up' window, whereby we can simply drop in a link to something a little special that is for sale on there?

a PDS4 rear spring - very rare -in the USA = here

a pair of .46 springs in the usa on ebay= here

a rare rear shock from the UK = here

Talking about eBay, a guy is parting out same bike as mine. What part do you advise me to get, for keepers?

can't say froggy - and i'm not being awkward. i can't imagine anything being better off another bike that i wouldn't repair on mine first?

what do you reckon to the ebay window idea?

also, i have now purchased the rear shock!

Well, check this out

On a side note, any eBay search can be turned into an RSS feed. Such feed can be integrated into a bunch of tools. I like MSIE's feed browser, because it has a good integrated search window. Outlook has one as well and it updates on a regular basis, the search is a bit slower, though.

But it gives me everyday right in my email the list of all the new items posted on eBay with the word "Husaberg", around the world. I think I had written something at one time. Maybe Jason could add a link to such an RSS feed.

Also, Craig's List has the same RSS option, but their feed does not include the posting date (they save bandwidth and server processing every which way they can).

no, i wouldn't buy any of it. what can you trust? you could buy the rockers and the followers would last how long? you don't know!

i guess nearly new plastics are ok. anything off a later model that might fit yours?

leave it mate

the shock was stripped by a shop that wanted to check the shim stack inside. so they haven't re-oiled or gassed it. i'm having it delivered to me on thursday.

it's good to see the addition of an ebay window for what's up! let's hope that we can keep it current.

Hey there Mr. Lloyd,

I added a newsfeed reader that can be used to monitor the auctions. Check out the "Auction Watch" link in the nav bar, or the scrolling block on the right.

Any auction site that offers RSS feeds can be added, so if anyone knows of any, let me know and I'll add them.

thanks,

Nice touch with the ebay stream Mr. schwim.

RE: Re: RE: ebay window?

I think that's ridiculous and the height of laziness!

If you want to know what's on sale on e-bay, go to e-bay and do a search on it.

Lazy fookers

Next you'll be wanting Json to do your laundry

I think an e-bay feed just brings down the whole tone of the site myself and it should be removed with a note to say "no cheapskates here please"

RE: Re: RE: ebay window?

Nothing is cheap about the parts for bergs and the spare parts support is not that good especially in OZ - maybe this will put pressure on them to deliver. It is not like buying aftermarket parts for a Yam. I think when you are trying to find parts that are for older parts all sources need to be explored. Try buying plastics for older bikes ??

RE: Re: RE: ebay window?

I have about 30 RSS feeds in my Outlook. News, deals, auction items, blog posts, etc... I do not have to visit each site in a row anymore. It's not laziness, it's just using tools to make your life easier. A bit like using a nail gun instead of a hammer.

RE: Re: RE: ebay window?

i didn't know json was going to be the one keeping it maintained? i figures there might be somewhere where i could dump an interesting hyperlink and a quick explanation and leave....
