Easiest way to change a camshaft?

I have a new one coming for my Fe570

Is there a way of doing it without splitting the cam' chain?
Has anyone done this, any special tools I need or advise worth having.

No "splitting" the cam chain on these to get them out or in, you may likely need a shim kit though to get the adjustment correct.

I've got a shim kit on standby.
Can you withdraw the cam from the chain once the tensioner has been removed?

Easy as beating a child.

Put it on TDC, lock the crank for just in case (clutch side cover bolt with copper washer on. Remove washer and install bolt back to lock up the motor), remove tensioner, remove M6 bolt that keeps the cam thrust plate in place, remove thrust plate and slide out the cam. Put a dab of loctite 243 or similar on the m6 bolt when reinstalling.

Thanks guys.

I'm sure I could have figured it out, but it's nice to know before I dive in.

Hopefully this will be the end of my hot start problem.
