E-Start problems while kicking is easy

Hi guys,

I hope there´s someone who can help me cause I really dont know what to do anymore!

My Fe501e ´03 worked pretty fine for about 3000kms. I changed Rocker-arm bearings, cam-bearings and the timing-chain. Battery is new and fully charged, Carb is clean and has new jets/needle (stock jetting). It alway started perfect like that, kicking like E-starting never caused problems.
After I had changed the starter freewheel (the old one was broken) touble started...
Now the bike starts within the first kick cold or hot, it couldnt be better. It idles perfectly and has response on the adjustment-screw.
But there´s no way at all to E-start it anymore!!! The Starter turns the bike way to slow in my opinion, even with a car battery on it!!!
I tried every valve clearence between 0.08 to 0.15 mm and went back to the 1/8 Turn method. No changes. The Auto-Dekomp weight moves pretty easy and it doesnt look to have extensive wear or to much free play in the hole. Cables look good and contacts as well!

What else could I check?

Pleas Help!!

It has been mentioned to check the lift with a dial indicator. Haven't people put a "spot o weld" on the decompressor stop to restore it to original exhaust valve lift after it wears a bit?

I have to do the same check sometime soon so for my info can someone remind me how far the decomp is supposed to lift the valves off their seat anyway?

how does it spin over if you use the manual decomp ???

With the manual Decomp pulled it turns a lot faster. I know, ther´s a lot of things that look like worn/not working auto-dekomp. I checked the spring, position is right and the "Knob" is at leas a little bit overstanding the cam-profile. Coluld another weiht helb? Should i make the spring having more preload? How much is the right overstanding? How much should the Rocker-arms move whe hitting the Knob? They move about 30° before TDC, that right isnt it? And it looks like it is only a very small opening, right?

Thanks a lot, airtime17
