Has anyone tried the E-Line universal heat shield?

Do they fit on a newer Berg, especially an 01?

I was wondering which one would be best, between the 8 and the 6-inch.

E-Line lists them on their Web site after selecting Husaberg, but the Berg headers converge at that point where we burn our pants, boots or sandals

If these do not fit, where can I find a different heat guard/shield?

It seems that the investment is worth the cost, since it is a pants/boot/leg saver.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Frog,

I'm bettin that the mount(s) for the "universal" heat shield is/are held on with a stainless steel hose clamp. So I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to get to work. At the worst you might have to retighten the hose clamps a couple of times as they seat in.

That was my impression as well, but what I'd like to do is first wrap some heat tape around and then add the E-Line part, for cosmetic reasons as well as to add more protection.

I was thinking about what was said the other day about the closeness of the headers and the carburetor

This type of product comes to mind:

E-line/Moose shield (6") works great at the rear portion of the pipe wear the over the boot pants tend burn...probably wont fit to great on front portion, the same shield but in a 4" would be great for right behind the 2 into 1 junction.

I have a dealer in western Canada working with a composite manufacturer, building carbon header and collector heat shields. I'll post photo's when they are ready.

I guess there needs to be a quantity ordered. I don't see how he could not sell at least 50 of those worldwide.
