Hello.
Bought a 501 -96 in parts and it have dual valve springs, can i use them on my 501 -99?
The cylinder and top end are the same parts as on mine -99 but the springs are dual.
Are there anything fun i could do wíth those parts, smaller cc or even more cc?

My bike is on it`s way to 200h (186h) since last rebuild, only changed the camshaft sealings.
Knock on wood..................

Regards

hello, yes you can install the springs easily.
to be 100% sure measure the installed height of the springs in the old head and then install the springs in the new head and just check if it changed.

i would overbore the cylinder that you have in spare, i would make it 98mm and electroplate again-then i woul match it with a wiseco overbore piston.

this combined with some other parts would give you a very "fun" combination
