What bearing do you guys use for the balancer drive shaft?
OEM is 6905 J1LLUC3
The bearing agent has informed me that this is a 'special' bearing rated for higher speed, and he cannot supply that bearing.
Also, there is no 'normal' 6905 C3 sealed bearing he can supply me with.
He can only supply me with a 6905 DDU bearing with steel seal.
So I'm wondering, why the additional speed rating, is the higher speed rated bearing also of a higher load rating,is it used because of the load of the counter balancer? Or would the load from the valve train still be enough to warrant a higher rated bearing?
Since I won't be running the cb, and have DVSK, would the 'vanilla' 6905 bearing be sufficient?
I can just order the OEM bearing, I just don't want to wait 3 more weeks for it.
I also saw in the doc, 619052RS is the bearing for the job. I didn't ask for that bearing at the agent, I didn't see it until I got home... I will phone tomorrow.
But, I was just wondering what everyone else uses?
Cheers
