Dripping randomly

I think the previous owner sold me a piece of crap.
My 650 is just stopping randomly. Like it won't get enough fuel. After a few minutes I can start up again, and drive a a little, before it's dying out again.

Anyone know what that can cause this problem?
Crossing for fingers for a easy fix

First I would check that the gas cap breather hose is venting properly. The tank may not be getting enough air.

Will check it!

Been getting different oils from the deal lately. So I'm getting a little unsure.

What do you guys recommend to use?
I got 10w-40(or50) the first time, and now they gave me 5w-60.

These guys make me so confused....

That would be my guess. My next guess is make sure your carb float isn't getting stuck (clean carb) and then start looking at whether you're getting spark. Is it only happening in hot weather?

Never had this problem with my berg, but I had a honda that the coil would act funny when it became too hot outside and I'd lose spark in hot weather. Solution was to relocate the coil and it never happened again. Took a long time to trouble shoot (and it was basically a guess) because it wouldn't replicate the problem unless really hot.

Oil has nothing to do with it. However, in cold weather I use 5/60 and in hot weather I use half 5/60 with the other half straight 50w. Depends on weather and riding conditions.

I've been riding the bike for the third day now.
Was so hot that it boiled the other day.

Tonight it was about 20 Celsius outside, and then it started to act funny. Was no problems riding earlier, when it was 30 Celsius.

Hopefully it's because the gas tank isent getting enough air. Dident think of it when I made the thread, but it was dripping a little fuel from it when it was very nice weather the other day.

Just wierd that this happens a first now, when I ride at night. Should have had the same problem in the middle of the day, right?

What year 650, and is it an FE or FS?

If an FS, does it have a catch can? If so, pull the screw out and drain it. Or unplug all the lines.

Check the rubber boot between the airbox and the carb for excess oil. That will stall it for sure.. Wrap a rag around a flathead screwdriver and sop it up if you find any.
