Does the YTZ7S really fit early bikes??

Hi guys,

Does the YTZ7S really fit the 02/03 battery carriers??

I've measured up the carrier on my bike and compared the YTZ7S specs and it seems a touch n go proposition....

Hands up those who have a YTZ7S in an 02/03 bike, and just how tight was it??

no mick, , have secured a 02 501 as a stand in bike while the 300 is apart for a bottom end rebuild......

still putting the word out about your 650 whenever the opportunity arises :wink:.

Mine isn't the Yuasa original but it's a cheap chinese copy of that part N#.
It fitted in OK. I had to remove the carrier to get it in there.

YTS 7S in my 01 501. Tight fit, and it is a skosh taller if memory serves, but, it fit and is still in use today. It made a huge difference.

fits fine in my '02 650.
