do they make a fe390 big bore kit

The 450 has the same stroke. Cylinder and piston not sure if head would work. I have a 390 with 450 head got it that way.

Im quite sure the 390 has a shorter stroke than the 450.

Id speak to Travis at Thumperracing.

It maybe cheaper and easier to sell the popular 390 and buy either the 450 or 570. BTW both of these have big bore kits avail.

Alan your right stroke are different 55.5 and 63.3 but bores are the same. Going to try and find out if pistons and cylinders will work in both? So at least you’ll replace the crank

As of now the 2011 390 is different than 2009 450 will keep looking. So crank and cylinder looking expensive guessing over $1200.00 and that’s not including labor

Its a shame isnt it?

All the parts should be interchangeable. You should be able to make a 390 into a 570. If you went with one of Thumperracing’s cranks, then you can make that 390 anything up to a 660. All the heads are the same.

My 450 runs so nice. I had 8 thou removed off the cyl, 570 cam EJK tuner, open airbox and straight through muffler. Its at 57.5hp with a std head.

Ask Travis at Thumperracing. He’ll know. Best to send him a message through KTMtalk.

Look at piston dimensions if the distance from top of piston to wrist pin is the same and diameter of wrist pin is the same you might be able to use ktm 530 cylinder on a 450 husaberg it comes out to a 510 a 390 would probably end up being a long rod 430

Jim, the 390, 450 and 530 all run the 95mm bore.

The 390 and 450 run the same header pipe which insinuates they run a different pin height but same cyl.

Id go with a Thumperracing 590cc piston kit and stroker crank. Whats that, 640cc? It might sound pricy initially but there is the 390 assy to on sell. The Americans love their 390’s so shouldnt be a prob moving it on. Price wise it would balance out to be a very nice and worthy project.

Forgot 530 and 570 have same stroke different bore wrist pin size my bad
I have a 570 crank with Carrillo rod good 530 cylinder bad 570 cylinder 570 cam ,computer head pipe some day I’ll find a good slanted berg needing rebuild and decide on cylinder ,buy proper piston gas kits and a new cam chain and slides.ive been to happy with my 450 in the nasty to make it a 570 which I always wanted.for now my 03 wr 450 does my dual sport activity with 15 48 gearing.

I bought a 570 with a blown motor. I bought an aftermarket rod kit with the smaller pin size. I can run a Thumperracing piston kit in the 570 then, but if i go to the trouble of splitting the cases, it will be a 610. My 610 is just too nice not to do another.

What i would really like is the 660cc. Just that our dollar is only worth 66c ATM.
