You hit the nail on the head on a couple accounts TM. Lack of participation by riders in North America is one aspect. That being said, the western venues would have had significantly more entrants, both Canadian and US rounds. And there has the lack of support of some of the top US riders, ( hey we only have a few and they were there) ie Destry Abbott/Kaw etc. The biggest reason for no 08 events is that lack of funding in a few Euro factory teams, such as TM, the Czech and Slovakian teams, .... They had asked for a reprieve from the North American rounds in order to build funds to participate in year or two. Australia and Mexico would also like to join the schedule, and we'd like to return. As well the FIM wants the WEC to be a World Championships, and not a large labelled Euro series. Hopefully Pineman, you can ride that route in a year or two and have WEC arrows on it. fingerscrossed.
