I was looking around on ebay and I found DNA air filters for huseys. They are K&N style and have lifetime warranty. Look good, cost a lot , 59.00+ shipping. I wiil have to have one eventually. Just thought you folks should know about a new aftermarket product for Bergs, we dont see enough of them. Check it out on ebaymotors.com. Find motorcycle parts and accessories british and european. then search for Husaberg. Hope this helps some of you.

Hey there Wooley,

amazing coincidence, but the Greek version of that filter is one of the things that's getting added to the raffle.

I'd never seen them on eBay, and the filter that Takis sent me was the first I'd ever seen of it's kind. It's an amazing looking filter for sure.

thanks,

yeah i saw the filter like 3 months ago and decided to order one up, ive been running mine and im loving it.

Hey motox502, did you notice a difference in throttle response? Does it run or sound any different? In the past , when i installed k&n filters i noticed more response and a slight change in exhaust tone. The DNA filter looks similar to k&n. Anyway I will be getting one myself before too long so I guess i will find out.

idk if your going to notice a huge difference, i think it is a little more responsive but the intake noise going down those straight-aways is DEFFINETLY louder.

Hi
I would never put a gauze style air filter in dirt bike they ar not as good
as a foam filter in filter out dirt, super moto is one thing but in dirt bike
no way seen too many bad examples in cars and trucks
so long VIKING

I bought and installed a K&N filter for my XR600 many years ago when I lived up in rainy, muddy Oregon. I discovered that it would allow mud to pass freely thru it. 8O I've never used a gauze type filter since.

I have a feeling this is more suited for dry/supermoto conditions, not for dirt, even less for wet and muddy conditions. Am I right?

Otherwise, one can do like Taffy and put a "bugle" on his carb.

RE: Re: DNA Air Filters

DNA, I think it means Dinos Nikolaidis Air filter and its the name of the producer. This guy before start to produce his own filter was the Greek importer of K&N here in Greece. Then he made DNA and I remember TM factory supermoto with this filters.I also have one on my berg and I can say that it works! At least for street legal or supermoto racing its nice but I dont have expirience with that in dirt. The good with this brand is that you will find air filters for motorcycles that K&N dont produse.
