Discontinued part ?? need help

I posted about my camchain breaking and have ordered new parts and was told that part # 200-229-001 - dowl camchain tensioner, isn't listed any more. Where do I find this part or what is a replacement for it. It's for a 2003 FE400E. Any help will help..

i would talk to a dealer and see if the 05 450 cam chain guide and tensioner will suit your 400 . you can only try . H-berg

It looks like the 04 part may fit #800.36.001.050

Per the owners doc:

Later slipper guide mod
From '03+. Stepped Bushing. Requires modification 800.36.002.000 = Timing Chain slipper (tension arm), 800.36.002.050 = Bushing. Remove alloy button to work correctly.

You may be able to use the 05 tensioner instead of removing the button.

Parts needed:

Tensioner (slipper) 800.36.002.100 05 version
Stepped spacer bushing 800.36.002.050 04 up
Shim (washer) 590.36.060.010
Screw 5x16 0015 050163

Here is a picture of the 01-03 tensioner with the infamous button at the end which is not quite long enough when using the 01-02 slipper.

I believe the 04-05-06 tensioner is the same as the one pictured above minus the button on the end.
