Did the FS 650 shine any one year in particular?

I have an 04 FE 650 that has bene transformed into a supermoto bike, which I am loving for the moment.
But I am thinking about building an ultimate machine, and since Husaberg has decided to discontinue the 650's and the FS's I'm wondering if there was any one particular model that shone, or if my 04 is as good a starting point as any?

The 04 model last of the big cc bikes and last of the 6 piston beringers. Guess what i own one, might be a bit one eyed lol.

2004 is a bloody good engine. it has a hybrid pork chop/circular flywheel and of course the 644 motor and full-on squish.

they upgraded the clutches later but other than that I can't recall them doing much at the factory gate. I suppose in a few minutes I'll remember summink!

for a tuned road bike I would think there is no need to alter your crank rod assembly.
